The NHL announced on Friday that the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs will begin on Saturday night with the Colorado Avalanche facing off against the Dallas Stars at 6 p.m. and will be televised on NBC.
The rest of the scheduled was announced late and will see the two teams facing off late at night for games 3, 4 and 5. The rest of the game and TV times will be determined later based on how the various series progress.
Colorado advanced to the Western Conference semifinals by beating the Arizona Coyotes 4-1 in the best-of-seven series. While the Stars ousted the Calgary Flames 4-2.
Colorado and Dallas have met four times previously in the playoffs, with both teams winning twice. The Stars won the first two series, while the Avs have taken the past two.
